Atticus Clothing:
Atticus Clothing got started in 2001 by a Southern Californian named Dylan Anderson, he started it from nothing and hired his friends along to help him, some of those friends were Mark and Tom from Blink, they wanted a clothing company that refelected who they were and not have a so trendy clothing company with flashy colors and such, They took off and used Blink as the first endorsing band, (info: the very first Atticus shirt had a monkey on it insted of the dead bird, if you look in the TOYPAJ booklet, its the shirt that Mark is wearing) people also don't know that Papa Roach was actually an early Atticus artist but then turned it down, its basiclly a clothing company for musicians ran by musicians, they help out bands on tours and provide them with clothes and often a Black Ford Atticus Van for traveling, they are being carried at all Pac Sun, West 49, Hot Topic, and Fast Forward stores across the U.S. and Canada, every year they will put out a CD compilation on SideOneDummy records called "Dragging The Lake" which will feature all Atticus bands along with other bands that reflect on who they are. Also if you go to a really famous Atticus bands show like Blink or New Found Glory or even a punk rock festival you will see a huge black tent, that is the Atticus tent where they show off their clothes and sometimes sell them of give out info. Macbeth Shoe Company:
After the success of Atticus Clothing, the group of friends who started it decided to get involved in another form on clothing...SHOES!!! they took the idea of the name for what they did with Atticus, used an old greek name that had to do with music, (Macbeth was a musical icon in greek times) so they guys decided to have a "Rock Shoe" Blink are the co-owners of this operation, they have four different styles of shoes, (The Oscar, The London, The Elliot, and The Lee) all of the bands in this operation are the same as Atticus, so its like Atticus and Macbeth are together. But its just a simple shoe company for musicians. so i guess it's almost like an Atticus Shoe...but not
Resting Bird Entertainment:
I'm very excited about this one...once again another company teaming together.....Atticus Clothing/ Macbeth Shoes/ Resting Bird Entertainment. it is also ran by the guys for Atticus/ Macbeth and it will be a company that films DVD's and Video's for commercial punk/ hardcore/ emo/ indie bands and well as starters who don't even have an album...just like Atticus' Dragging The Lake CD Series, they have a DVD series called "Dragging The Lake" the first issue is called "ISSUE 0 (zero)" and if features a live performance by Box Car Racer, Interviews, Tour access and other footage of bands like Rival Schools, Alkaline Trio, Finch, Sick Of It All, Gives Up The Ghost (formally American Nightmare and American Nothing) Death By Stero, Taking Back Sunday, Further Seems Forever, and up and comers Counterfeit. That is only from Issue 0, just wait for Issue 1....another great addition is they will release a documentary on a very very great band called "Kut U Up" these were the guys you saw play before the doors/ gates opened for the Pop Disaster Tour. its a documentary made by the guys who brought you the Urethra Chronicles and follows this unknown san diego broke as hell, drunk as hell, hardcore punk band through a huge nationwide tour! it will also feature interviews/ performances from KUT U UP, Blink 182, Green Day, Saves The Day, Jimmy Eat World, The next thing from Resting Bird Entertainment is "Dragging The Lake Vol. 1" which will feature Mark from Blink, Black Flag, Recover, Further Seems Forever, The Hope Conspiracy, The Used and many more!!!!
